I would like to say a huge thanks to Colin and the team for the wonderful care they gave to Luke recently. My sister and I have been with the practice for over 16 years now, but I don't think you realise how much work goes on behind the scenes until you have an emergency.
From the outset of finding a sick,colicky pony Carol on reception kept me calm with lots of advice whilst arranging for Colin to be sent out instantly. Luke was admitted and the care that all the team showed was amazing. Luke was in the hospital for 14 days and I was kept up to date with regular phone calls from Alison.
It really did seem touch and go after the diagnosis of peritonitis was confirmed. On all of our daily visits we found that Luke was receiving the best possible care with the nurses seeing to his every need despite the fact they were always busy.
Once Luke was allowed to come home Colin has been to check on him regularly and I am pleased to say all test results have been going perfectly in the right direction.
I used to phone for routine appointments and wonder why the vet might be a few minutes late. It is only now that I fully appreciate that they may be attending to another case like mine, so thank you to all the team from Luke and myself.
